Shipping, Returns, and Refunds Policy for Matcha Time Gift Shop

We generally ship your order within 2-3 business days unless we unexpectedly run out of stock. Running out of stock can happen suddenly if someone makes an in-store purchase of the last remaining item, or when we prepare to ship, we discover an issue with the item. In any of these cases, we will contact you for alternatives.

Sorry, but we ca not ship to PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses.

You will receive shipping info and a tracking number (if available) soon after your order ships.

Customs, duties, and taxes

Matcha Time Cafe, LLC (dba: Matcha Time Gift Shop) is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of the customer (tariffs, taxes, etc.).


While we package each item with the utmost care, Matcha Time Cafe, LLC (dba: Matcha Time Gift Shop) is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier directly to file a claim. If you need assistance with contacting the carrier or filing the claim, please contact us and we'll do our best to help in any way we can. Please save all packaging material and damaged goods before filing a claim.


Return and Refund Policy

If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase, We invite You to review our policy on refunds and returns. This Return and Refund Policy has been created with the help of the Return and Refund Policy Generator.

The following terms are applicable for any products that You purchased with Us.

Interpretation and Definitions


The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.


For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy:

  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us" or "Our" in this Agreement) refers to Matcha Time Cafe, LLC, 8034 Main Street, Ellicott City, MD 21043.

  • Goods refer to the items offered for sale on the Service.

  • Orders mean a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.

  • Service refers to the Website.

  • Website refers to Matcha Time Gift Shop, accessible from

  • You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Your Order Cancellation Rights

You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 30 days without giving any reason for doing so, or until the order has been delivered to the carrier. Once the order has been delivered to the carrier, it is considered to have shipped and no cancellation is possible.

The deadline for cancelling an Order is 30 days from the date on which You placed the order, if your order has not yet shipped.

In order to exercise Your right of cancellation, You must inform Us of your decision by means of a clear statement. You can inform us of your decision by:

We will reimburse You no later than 30 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods. We will use the same means of payment as You used for the Order, and You will not incur any fees for such reimbursement.

Conditions for Returns

In order for the Goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:

  • You MUST contact us, BEFORE returning any item, to obtain a RMA Number (Return Merchandise Authorization)
  • The Goods were purchased/received in the last 10 days
  • The Goods are in the original, undamaged packaging, unless damage was caused during shipping
  • The Goods were not used, or washed, and still in NEW condition
  • The Goods must have the receipt or proof of purchase

The following Goods cannot be returned:

  • The supply of Goods made to Your specifications or clearly personalized.
  • The supply of Goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.
  • The supply of Goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and/or were unsealed after delivery.
  • The supply of Goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.
  • Articles of clothing, including, but not limited to, shirts, pants, socks, hats, shoes, kimono, yukata, etc.

We reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions in our sole discretion.

Only regular priced Goods may be refunded. Unfortunately, Goods on sale cannot be refunded. This exclusion may not apply to You if it is not permitted by applicable law.

Goods returned for reasons other than defect may result in a 15% restocking fee.

Returning Goods

You MUST contact us FIRST to obtain a Return Authorization Number (RMA) BEFORE returning any items. Failure to do so will result in any returns/refunds not being processed.

You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Goods to Us. You should send the Goods at the following address:

We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the Goods or proof of received return delivery.


If the Goods were marked as a gift when purchased and then shipped directly to you, You'll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned product is received inspected and found by Us to be in NEW & undamaged condition, a gift certificate will be mailed to You.

If the Goods weren't marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the Order shipped to themselves to give it to You later, We will send the refund to the gift giver.
